Located on a hillside near the historic town of Silves, this residence was conceived as the heart of a family home, offering breathtaking views over the Algarve landscape. Designed as a welcoming space for convivial living, the project harmoniously integrates contemporary architecture with its natural surroundings. Expansive glazed openings flood the interiors with natural light, making the most of the region’s more than 300 days of sunshine and enhancing the continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces.
At the centre of the concept lies the harmony between kitchen and living area, where functionality meets refined design. The island cooktop is positioned to enable full interaction with guests—whether seated at the breakfast bar or relaxing nearby—while maintaining uninterrupted views of the landscape. The kitchen features the Valcucine Forma Mentis collection in walnut, complemented by White Cloud opaque glass wall units and subtle details that elevate the overall composition. Miele appliances are discreetly integrated behind sliding and concealed doors, preserving clean lines without compromising performance. Fiori di Bosco stone worktops, paired with a coordinated Technografica Ultralight finish, complete the space, blending contemporary elegance with the natural beauty reflected in the surrounding garden.
